The pre-launch creative QA checklist every team needs
A rejected ad costs you time, budget, and momentum. Platform review delays can push a campaign launch by days. Most rejections are preventable — wrong aspect ratio, unapproved claims, missing disclaimers. A simple QA checklist catches these before you hit publish.
Format checks
- Image dimensions match platform specs (e.g., 1080x1080 for feed, 1080x1920 for stories).
- Video length is within platform limits (15s for reels, 30s for in-stream).
- File size is under the platform maximum.
- Safe zones are respected — no critical text or logos in crop areas.
Copy and claims
- Headline and body copy are within character limits for the placement.
- No unapproved superlatives ("best", "fastest", "#1") without substantiation.
- Disclaimers and disclosures are present where required (financial, health, endorsements).
- CTA matches the landing page content (no bait-and-switch).
Brand consistency
- Logo is current version and correctly placed.
- Colors match brand palette.
- Font is the approved typeface at the correct weight.
- Tone matches brand voice guidelines.
Tracking and attribution
- UTM parameters are correctly formatted and match the taxonomy.
- Landing page URL resolves and loads correctly.
- Conversion pixels are firing on the destination page.
Automate the checklist
Marketer MCP's upcoming Creative QA tool will run these checks programmatically. Pass your creative metadata and the tool returns a pass/fail report with specific issues flagged. No more manual checklists in a Google Doc.
